In chapter 107, Guts finishes his fight with the two strongest guardians of the Misty Valley and manages to defeat them by combining his mechanical arm and sword in one final attack. However, the effort leaves him badly exhausted and injured. Back in Jill’s village, the people are burying the children who died in the fire when a group of Holy Iron Chain Knights arrives. Farnese meets the village priest, Father Hobbes, and learns about the Black Swordsman and his connection to the strange attacks happening in different villages. She decides to pursue Guts, while Jill’s father, Zepek, unexpectedly volunteers to guide the knights toward the Misty Valley.
