In chapter 176, Guts escapes the ruins of Albion with Casca, while Griffith and Zodd leave the area as the Kushan army approaches. The surviving group separates, with Isidro deciding to follow his own path. Luca says goodbye to Casca and honors the Egg of the Perfect World with flowers. Farnese, deeply changed by what happened, decides to leave the Holy Iron Chain Knights and follow Guts, with Serpico choosing to accompany her. Nina also leaves with Joachim.
