Berserk Manga Chapter 159
In chapter 159, the Egg of the Perfect World continues explaining his past to Luca and describes what he witnessed after gaining his powers. He watched countless refugees arrive at Albion hoping to escape war and suffering, only to face hunger, sickness, and death there as well. He also saw people accused of heresy being captured and burned, which deepened his belief that the world was fundamentally cruel. He tells Luca that Nina especially caught his attention because of how strongly she depended on Luca for emotional support. Meanwhile, the battle between Guts and Mozgus’ disciples reaches another turning point. Guts manages to recover from their attacks and strikes back, cutting down one disciple’s leg and injuring another with a thrown knife. The remaining disciples retreat toward Mozgus, who is still holding the unconscious Casca. Nina breaks down and cries for Luca, while Guts prepares himself for the next part of the fight.
