In chapter 142, Guts keeps moving toward Albion when he suddenly encounters the Skull Knight. The Skull Knight tells him that they are heading toward the same destination because something extraordinary is about to happen at the Tower of Conviction. He explains that the enormous concentration of fear, suffering, and despair surrounding the tower could trigger an incarnation ceremony, allowing a member of the God Hand to enter the physical world. He also connects this event to the mysterious “Falcon of Light” that people across the world have been dreaming about, hinting that Griffith is about to return. The Skull Knight then reveals that Casca is also at the Tower, meaning she is being drawn toward the same event as Guts.
