In chapter 151, Guts, Luca, and Isidro decide to enter the Tower of Conviction to rescue Casca and Nina. Guts initially wants to go alone, but Isidro refuses to stay behind, while Luca insists on helping because she wants to make sure the girls are safe. Inside the tower, Puck searches for Casca and Nina but has difficulty moving around without being noticed by the guards. Meanwhile, Casca and Nina are locked inside a small cell. Nina is terrified by the screams of people being tortured throughout the tower and begins blaming Casca for their situation, but she quickly regrets it. Mozgus’ disciples then enter and take Nina away for interrogation, leaving Casca alone. Nina is brought into the torture chamber, where the terrifying surroundings completely destroy her courage, and she desperately wishes that Luca could come and save her.
