In chapter 157, Guts faces Mozgus and his remaining disciples inside the Tower. He quickly realizes that they have become pseudo-apostles, giving them extraordinary strength and allowing them to fly. Despite being surrounded, Guts refuses to back down because Casca is still in Mozgus’ hands. He first takes down the tall claw-wielding disciple, then narrowly avoids the attacks of the small disciple carrying pincers. Another disciple charges at him using a huge wheel-like weapon, but Guts redirects the attack and sends the creature crashing through the pillars. Farnese finally reaches the top of the tower and sees the battle unfolding, while Isidro, Nina and Jerome hide nearby. The disciples’ masks are knocked away during the fight, revealing their disturbing appearances, while Mozgus continues standing behind them with Casca unconscious in his arms.
